Workshop day 2: Innovative Tools For Creative Classroom Teaching

  1. Comprehend the ways of thinking: critical thinking, problem solving, use of creativity and metacognition

  2. Understand the significance of innovative thinking in refining teaching pedagogies and constructing innovative learning environments

  3. Comprehend the importance of roleplaying as a model, coach, mentor, supporter and facilitator to students

  4. Assimilate and apply the latest trends of innovative thinking concepts, tools and techniques to teaching and learning practices

  5.  Be well-equipped with a wide range of technology, resources, practical tools and plans to encourage the development of innovative thinking. Examples include La-Coux’s lateral scheme, SCAMPER and Osborne-Parnes Creative Problem Solving Process.

  6. Be introduced to the cutting-edge tools for working: information literacy as well as information and communication technology (ICT) literacy

Workshop day 3: Developing an Effective Action Plan

  1. Adapt and respond felicitously to different learning and teaching environments

  2. Reflect purposefully on your teaching skills and knowledge

  3. Review and enhance your current teaching practices

  4. Plan and deliver impactful and empowering lessons

  5. Achieve a profound understanding of your learners’ needs and factor them effectively into your action plan

  1. 1st session: 2nd, 3rd and 4th July 2018; or

  2. 2nd session: 12th, 13th and 14th July 2018

Other Pertinent Information

  1. Our once-a-year seminar is conducted in a group of maximum 50 participants over 3 full days per session.

  2. Food & Beverages are all provided. Dietary options for halal and vegetarian will be provided.

  3. Dress code: smart casual

Registration

  1. The 3-full day course is open for registration by groups of teachers from schools. Registrations can be invoiced to institutions, or to  MOE schools by e-invoicing through the iFAST system. Private participants should register by contacting Mr Keith at theeducationpangea@gmail.com

  2. Participants will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  3. Names of participants must be submitted in full block letters and will be used for printing of their certificates, which are to be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
